Bapatla, Oct. 4 -- A couple was killed today when their motorcycle was knocked down by a car on the emergency flight landing road at Alavalapadu village in the Korisapadu mandal of the district.
Circle Inspector Mallikharjun said that the deceased, Kotturi Venkata Subba Rao (55) and Kotturu Lakshmi (50), were travelling from Ongole to Alavalapadu village.
A speeding car hit the bike from the rear, killing the couple on the spot.
