Visakhapatnam, Jan. 1 -- The second day of the 18th All India Conference of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) witnessed the adoption of three major resolutions opposing the dismantling of MNREGA, resisting what it termed a surrender of national sovereignty, and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
The conference sharply criticised recent legislative measures affecting rural workers, said Tapan Sen, General Secretary in a release here on Thursday.
A resolution titled "Repeal Retrograde VB G RAM G Act 2025, Restore and Strengthen MGNREGA" was moved by Kashmir Singh Thakur and seconded by Amarnath Kurm Kala.
