Guntur, Dec. 30 -- The spicy Chilli has been picked as the mascot for the annual exhibition of the Sale of Articles of Rural Artisans Society, (SARAS) opening on January 6 here. The mascot was released by District Collector A Thameem Ansariya on Tuesday.
The SARAS is being organised by the District Rural Development Agency with the support of the State Poverty Eradication Organisation. As Guntur is famous for Chillies, a "Chilli" was selected and designed as the mascot.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector stated that the SARAS exhibition would be held in Guntur from January 6 to January 18. She informed that the exhibition stalls are being set up at the site opposite Reddy College on the Narasaraopet Road in Guntur city.
