Vijayawada, Nov. 6 -- As a part of preparatory activities for the ensuing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav took a training session to all the Collectors and District Election Officers in the State through video conference on Thursday.

The CEO informed that SIR has already been done 8 time from 1951 till 2022 and the last SIR was done in Andhra Pradesh more than 21 years back in 2002 and explained the need for taking up the SIR now due to frequent migration, resulting in voters getting registered at more than one place, non-removal of dead voters and wrongful inclusion of any foreigner.
