AP: Arrested person is member in 30 radical Islamic groups: SP

Puttaparthi, Aug. 17 -- Sri Satya Sai district Superintendent of police V Ratna said that Kothwal Noor Mahammad who was arrested on August 16, was a member in 30 WhatApp groups of radical Islam groups and six prohibited WhatApp groups..

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, SP V Ragna said that on a reliable tip-off that he was maintaining contacts with the radical Islamic groups in Pakistan, the police arrested Kothwal Noor Mahammad (42) and another person in Dharmavaram town of the district, registered cases against them under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and other sections.
