Vijayawada, Oct. 9 -- Andhra Pradesh Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra today asserted that efficient steps have been taken to curb the sale of spurious liquor, announcing that 21 districts have been made illicit liquor-free.
Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat in Amaravati today, the Minister said the Excise Department and the Enforcement wing are working vigorously to prevent the brewing and sale of illicit liquor.
He revealed that under the Navodaya programme, 21 districts have been declared illicit liquor-free so far. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to take firm steps to eradicate the illicit liquor menace in the state.
