Kadapa, Sept. 20 -- The Red Sanders Anti Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) personnel seized 16 red sander logs, two cars and arrested 18 smugglers at Pedda Settipalli village on the Proddatur-Jammalamadugu highway.
DSP MD Shariff told the media that an RSASTF team led by RSI M Muralidhar Reddy conducted checking of vehicles on the Proddatur-Jammalamadugu highway at Peddashettipali village.
The team noticed two transport vehicles going at high speed. The task force team personnel stopped the vehicles for checking. The occupants got out of the vehicles and started fleeing into the forest. However, the task force personnel chased and apprehended 18 of them.
