Tirupati, May 27 -- The police seized 13 kg of ganja while being taken to Chennai at MGM Circle in Srikalahasti.
DSP Narasimha Murthy told the media in Srikalahasti that on a tip off a police team led by CI D Nagarjuna Reddy arrested the peddlers M Murali, J Shyamraj and M Sanjay Kumar when they were waiting for a bus with 13 KG of ganja. The trio wanted to take the ganja to Chennai to sell there in retail. They brought the ganja from Odisha.
All three arrested drug peddlers were involved in many criminal cases in Tamil Nadu. However, two drug peddlers fled the scene after noticing the police. A search is on to nab them, the DSP said.
