Anantapur, Dec. 4 -- The police have recovered 1,025 stolen or lost mobile phones, worth Rs 2.13 crore in Andhra Pradesh, an official said on Thursday.
SP P Jagadish told the media, that 42 police station limits had taken up a special programme in the name of 'Mee mobile Mee Entiki'. The SP handed over some of the phones to the owners at their homes.
So far the Anantapur district police have recovered 13,619 mobile phones worth Rs 26.24 crore, the SP said. The district police launched Chatbot web services through which the police received 28,428 complaints of which 13,619 mobile phones have been traced and recovered at various places.
