Dharamshala, Jan. 11 -- Newly appointed Kangra district Congress president Anurag Sharma arrived in Dharamshala for the first time on Saturday after assuming charge and was accorded a warm welcome at the Block Congress Committee office.
Former Congress candidate from Dharamshala and ex-Mayor Devendra Jaggi, along with Block Congress office-bearers and party workers from different parts of the Dharamshala Assembly constituency, greeted Sharma on the occasion.
Addressing party workers, Sharma said that a statewide agitation under the banner "MNREGA Bachao Sangram" was being launched on Saturday to oppose the renaming of MNREGA and changes in the scheme.
