Agartala, Sept. 28 -- Agartala is bustling with activity as crowds gather two days before the scheduled commencement of Durga Puja, which kicks off on Monday.

All major puja pandals have opened to devotees, although traffic restrictions and crowd management measures have yet to be implemented.

Since yesterday marked the fourth Saturday of the month, puja holidays commenced, causing significant congestion in the city that lasted well into the night. Alongside pandal hopping, shopping for puja was at its peak, with shops and malls staying open until 3 AM. There was a notable police presence on the streets throughout the night to ensure safety and order.
