Dharamshala, Nov. 7 -- Deputy Commissioner Kangra, Hemraj Bairwa, on Friday said that Anti-Chitta and Drug Prevention Committees will be constituted at the panchayat level across Kangra district to intensify the fight against drug abuse and trafficking.
He informed that directions in this regard have been issued to the Panchayati Raj Department. The committees will hold regular monthly meetings to prepare detailed reports on drug-related activities in their respective areas and share them with law enforcement agencies.
These committees will also organize awareness programmes in schools and public places highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse.
