Srinagar, March 8 -- Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Kashmir has deployed highly trained dog squad to combat narcotics menace in the region, police said on Saturday.

These highly skilled canines will be deployed at key locations, including checkpoints, airports, border areas, and during raids on suspected drug hubs.

Police said the deployment of trained dog squad is a step aimed at strengthening the fight of specialised unit against drug trafficking and abuse.

The specialized dog squad for narcotics detection and search operations was deployed at Narkara and Nasrullahpora Budgam.

"This initiative underscores ANTFs commitment to eradicate the drug menace and ensure a safer, drug free society in the region," police said in a statement....
