Srinagar, Jan. 2 -- The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), a specialised unit of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, said on Friday that it arrested a woman absconder involved in a major narcotics case.

The ANTF Kashmir termed the arrest of accused identified as Tamana Ashraf a resident of Batamaloo, Srinagar a major breakthrough in the operation against the drug peddlers.

Police said she was wanted in 2023 FIR registered under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at ANTF Jammu and had been evading arrest for the past three years.
