Nagpur, Sept. 7 -- The death toll in the explosion at the Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited (SDAL) factory has risen to two after a second injured worker, Nitesh Irpache, 31, succumbed to his injuries today.
Hospital sources confirmed that Irpache, who had sustained serious head injuries in the blast, died while undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit. Dr Pinak Dande said Irpache could not be saved despite best efforts.
Another worker, Mayur Ganveer, 25, had died soon after the incident due to multiple injuries. Several other workers injured in the blast are still receiving treatment.
