Itanagar, Aug. 1 -- The growing conflict between humans and wildlife in Arunachal Pradesh's Tirap district has claimed a third life in just 23 days.

Jatphok Sawin, a resident of Thalot village, was trampled to death by a wild elephant on the night of July 31, while within his residential premises.

This tragic incident follows two earlier fatalities. Earlier on July 9, former Khonsa North MLA Kapchen Rajkumar was killed during his morning walk between Namsang and Deomali. On July 28, Dhiren Tati, a 46-year-old tea garden labourer from Aghuripather, was attacked and killed inside his home by a wild elephant.
