Solan, Nov. 21 -- Himachal Pradesh witnessed yet another firing incident within 24 hours after a youth opened several rounds in the air near Shoolini University in Solan on Thursday afternoon, triggering panic among students and residents.
The incident occurred on Sultanpur Road, close to the university campus. Solan Police detained the accused shooter along with several others linked to the matter.
According to Solan Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh, the youth who fired the shots is a student of Shoolini University. Preliminary inquiry suggests that a clash between two student groups a few days earlier may have escalated tensions.
