Bhubaneswar, Oct. 13 -- The Annual Terracotta Exhibition "Mruttika-2025" began here today, bringing together terracotta and pottery artisans from across Odisha under one roof.

Around 350 artisans from all districts of the state are participating in the event, which celebrates the state's rich tradition of terracotta craftsmanship.

Addressing the media, State Handlooms, Textiles, and Handicrafts Minister Pradip Bal Samant said terracotta and pottery crafts represent Odisha's ancient culture and glorious heritage.

More than 36,000 artisans across the state, he added, earn their livelihood through this craft.

The Minister said the annual exhibition aims to economically empower artisans and promote this traditional art form.
