New York, Nov. 19 -- At the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, President of the 80th session Annalena Baerbock called for renewed urgency on long-pending Security Council reform, urging member states to seize what she described as a historic moment for change.

Baerbock said the current session carries unique weight, marking not only the UN's 80th anniversary but also one year since the adoption of the Pact for the Future. "If there is any year in which we must build on the momentum of past sessions with renewed urgency, it is this one," she said.
