Bapatla, Jan. 31 -- Andhra police seized 191 kg of ganja while it was being transported in a van at the Bollapalli toll gate plaza near here and arrested two drug peddlers.
Superintendent of Police Umamaheswar told mediapersons here on Saturday that, acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Inspector Srinivassa Rao conducted vehicle checks. The team found 198 kg of ganja in a Bolero van.
The ganja was being transported from Tuni in Kakinada district to Bangalore for sale. It was neatly packed in carton boxes. The police seized the 198 kg of ganja, the van, and arrested two drug peddlers.
