Vijayawada, Dec. 17 -- The police seized 112 kg of ganja while being transported in a car at Gannavaram, near here, on Wednesday.
Krishna district SP V Vidyasagar Naidu said that a police team led by Gannavaram sub-inspector conducted checking of vehicles on the highway on Tuesday evening at Gannavaram.
The police found 112 kg of ganja in a car. The police seized the narcotic which was neatly packed. The seized ganja is worth over 5.60 lakh, police said.
The police arrested the suspect, Deepak Tupe alias Abaji Tupe, and registered a case under the NDPS Act.
