Andhra officials told to expedite purchasing of maize from farmers

Vijayawada, Nov. 27 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture K Achannaidu directed the officials to expedite the purchasing of maize produce from farmers and asked the Central finance department to release Rs 7,630 crore for the purpose.

The Agriculture Minister held a video conference with the agriculture officials and representatives of private organizations here on Thursday. He told the poultry agencies, pharmacy companies and traders to expedite the purchasing of maize produce from farmers.
