Vijayawada, Dec. 1 -- Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has asserted the government's commitment to make the state as 'AIDS-free' by 2030 and claimed that the positive cases are dwindling due to the steps taken by the government.
On the occasion of World AIDS Day, the State AIDS Control Society organised a programme in Tummalapalli auditorium here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that 25,000 new cases used to be registered 10 years ago and now the number has come down to 13,000 due to steps taken by the government. He asked the youth to be cautious of positive cases and emphasized the need for creating awareness among people.
