Rajahmundry, Feb. 7 -- Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh on Saturday asserted that the state government has taken steps to transform the state into a world-class healthy, wealthy, happy tourism hub.
Addressing a press conference here, the Tourism Minister highlighted that AP had attracted Rs 30,000 crore investments in the tourism sector during the last 20 months, generating 1.22 lakh jobs.
The government aims to utilise the state's tourism potential for the financial development of the state, he said and lamented that the sector has been crippled between 2019 and 2024 because of the flawed policies of the erstwhile YSRCP regime.
