Chandigarh, Nov. 7 -- In an alleged forced religious conversion in Amritsar, a Hindu youth has accused his father and stepmother of coercing him into converting to Islam. The complainant, identified as Krishna Khonsla of Millap Avenue in Ghannupur, claimed he was sent to Bengaluru under the guise of education and employment, where he was allegedly circumcised and made to adopt a new name.

According to Krishna's complaint to the Chehharta police, his father, Rajiv Khonsla alias Sai Rizk Shah, has been associated with a religious shrine and maintains close ties with members of the Muslim community.
