Chandigarh, Feb. 8 -- In a major success against international narco-terror networks, the Amritsar Rural Police, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF), has busted an organised cross-border smuggling module. The joint operation resulted in the recovery of a massive consignment consisting of 25 kg of heroin, two pistols, and 60 live cartridges.

Authorities confirmed the arrest of two individuals during the operation. The suspects have been identified as residents of the Ghoga area, falling under the jurisdiction of the Bhindi Saidan Police Station in Amritsar Rural.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the module was utilising drones to transport contraband and weaponry across the border from Pakistan.
