Chandigarh, Sept. 25 -- Amritsar Police dismantled a major cross-border drug and arms trafficking network, arresting six suspects and seizing 4.08 kg of heroin and two sophisticated pistols. The operation targeted a syndicate allegedly operated by a notorious Pakistan-based smuggler identified as Shah, security agencies said.

Police revealed that the contraband was smuggled into India via drones through the Firozpur and Khemkaran sectors along the border. The syndicate used social media platforms to share location coordinates, enabling the accused to collect and distribute the consignments across Amritsar and nearby areas.
