Amravati, Oct. 17 -- Mild earthquake tremors were felt this afternoon in Shivangaon Fattepur village of Tivasa taluka in Maharashtra's Amravati district, triggering panic among residents. No loss of life or property has been reported, officials confirmed.
The tremors were experienced between 1:15 pm and 1:20 pm. Several residents reported utensils falling off shelves due to the vibrations.
Locals have informed the district administration about the incident.
Resident Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Anil Bhatkar has written to the Additional Director General of the Geological Survey of India (GSI), requesting an investigation by the Nagpur division team to assess the tremor's intensity and possible causes.
