Agartala, July 10 -- Raising serious allegations of selective targeting of Bengalis in the name of identifying illegal immigrants, the regional political party of non-tribals in Tripura, the Amra Bangali, has come down heavily on ruling BJP ally in the state, TIPRA Motha that wants to push back those who came in after March 25, 1971 from Bangladesh.
Amra Bangali has also urged the government to reopen cases of "genocide" by the banned militant outfits during the 80s and 90s.
Addressing media here today, Amra Bangali state secretary Gouranga Rudrapal criticized TIPRA Motha leaders and its MLA Ranjit Debbarma, accusing him of delivering hate speech against Hindu Bengalis and creating a communal divide in the society.
