Shillong, Sept. 11 -- Meghalaya Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma today assured the assembly that the government is committed to completing the construction of the Ampati Engineering College in South West Garo Hills district.
Replying to a query raised by Leader of Opposition Dr. Mukul Manda Sangma of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the Assembly, Rakkam informed that the physical progress of the Ampati Engineering College construction stands at 25 per cent, with a total expenditure of Rs 15 crore to date.
"I assure that on a war footing, we will ensure we complete Shillong and Ampati Engineering College," the minister said in response to the Leader of Opposition, who had urged the government to complete the project on a war footing.
