Kolkata, April 22 -- In a significant development, sources in BJP said that union Home Minister Amit Shah will stay in West Bengal till April 27, making it obvious that the party is intensifying its campaign and fine-tuning its strategy ahead of the second phase of polling.

Significantly enough Shah will be in Kolkata for the next seven days till April 27 - the end day of campaigning for the second phase of election that is scheduled on April 29.

Notably, Shah will also be present in the state during the first phase of polling on April 23, underlining the importance the party is placing on the Bengal elections.
