Patna, Aug. 6 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone for construction of grand "Mata Janaki temple" at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi on August 8.

Official sources said here today that the temple will be developed over 67 acres of land at Punaura Dham on the lines of Ram temple of Ayodhya. Preparations for the foundation stone laying ceremony was in full swing at Punaura Dham, believed to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita.

The construction of the temple is likely to be completed within 11 months of stipulated time-frame, the sources informed, saying that Bihar cabinet has already sanctioned Rs 882.87 crore for the integrated development of the temple complex.
