Kolkata, Jan. 31 -- Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress, accusing the Mamata Banerjee government of institutionalised corruption and alleging a deliberate cover-up in the recent fire at a momo factory in Anandapur that left several workers dead and many missing.
Opening his address with a broader charge against the ruling party, Shah said corruption had become the "hallmark" of the TMC regime.
"This is not an accident, this is a picture of the corruption of the Mamata Banerjee government," he said, before referring to the deadly fire in east Kolkata's Anandapur area.
