Kolkata, Dec. 30 -- Home Minister Amit Shah has alleged that West Bengal's development has come to a standstill due to deep-rooted corruption, syndicate raj and a complete breakdown of law and order under the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, asserting that people are now determined to replace fear and misgovernance with development and welfare.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Shah said that under Trinamool rule, Bengal has been pushed into a state of fear. "People of Bengal are living in fear and corruption with infiltration remaining unchecked. They are determined to form a government that will bring development and welfare for the poor," he said.
