Guwahati, Dec. 27 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the visit of union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday will boost the security of the north eastern state.

Sarma said that during his visit to Assam on Monday, the union Home Minister will inaugurate several key infrastructure projects including the Intelligent City Surveillance System (ICSS).

The ICSS is a citywide CCTV network to bolster security and law enforcement, Sarma said adding that Shah will also open the new Guwahati Police Commissioner's office. The Chief Minister said that the ICSS is an Integrated Command and Control Centre which will monitor over 2,000 CCTVs to bolster security & emergency response systems in the state.
