Kolkata, Dec. 30 -- With the West Bengal Assembly elections approaching, Home Minister Amit Shah held a closed-door meeting with the state BJP's top leadership to review the party's poll preparedness and outreach plans.
Shah arrived in Kolkata on a three-day visit on Monday night.
Though the meeting was closed-door, sources present told UNI on condition of anonymity that it focused on sharpening the BJP's organisational and campaign strategy ahead of the crucial election.
Soon after landing at Dum Dum airport on Monday evening, Shah went straight to the BJP's Salt Lake office, where he chaired a nearly hour-long organisational meeting. Senior state leaders as well as central leaders in charge of West Bengal were present.
