Kolkata, Sept. 25 -- Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to arrive this evening and is scheduled to unveil three Durga Puja pandals, including that of a famous Santosh Mitra Square in central part of the city, on 'chaturthi', today.
His visit comes at the invitation of leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikarim, who visited New Delhi recently and had requested him to visit Kolkata during West Bengal biggest festival Durga Puja.
As per tentative schedule, Shah after reaching Kolkata this evening, will speak with the top leadership of the state and likely to take stock of the preparation of the 2026 state assembly polls, scheduled in April-May.
