Mumbai, Oct. 27 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the fourth edition of India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai on Monday, paying floral tribute to the bust of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and highlighting India's deep maritime heritage.

Addressing the gathering, Shah reaffirmed the government's vision to transform India into a leading global maritime power through the Maritime Vision 2030 roadmap.

He announced that India is constructing a series of large-scale, deep-water ports aimed at expanding the nation's overall cargo handling capacity to 10,000 million metric tonnes by 2030.
