Chandigarh, Dec. 24 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday attended a series of official programmes in Haryana, beginning with the state-level Veer Bal Diwas event in Panchkula, organised to commemorate the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas who resisted Mughal persecution.
Addressing the gathering, Shah said it was a matter of grace that several major initiatives linked to Sikh Gurus had taken shape during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
At the event, Shah released a coffee table book dedicated to the younger Sahibzadas and also handed over job appointment letters to families affected by the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
