Guwahati, Aug. 28 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah today arrived Assam capital town Guwahati.
He is likely to address the BJP election core committee meeting at the state BJP headquarters at Basistha area in the city tonight.
Shah was received at the airport by a host of leaders including Assam chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, State BJP president Dilip Saikia and many others.
Shah arrived in Guwahati on a two day visit. On Friday, he is likely to inaugurate the new Raj Bhavan in Guwahati.
Later he will go to Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra and inaugurate the birth centenary celebrations of former chief minister of Assam Golap Borbora.
