Kochi, Aug. 22 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah today launched a sharp attack on the ruling CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala, alleging that public funds were being diverted to benefit party cadres instead of being utilized for people's welfare.

Addressing the Manorama News Conclave 2025 here, Shah said Kerala had "lost several opportunities because of ideology-driven indifference" and stressed the need for a government that works "for the people, not for the cadre."Highlighting Kerala's advantages in tourism, foreign remittances, IT, and port-based industries, he urged the state to harness its strengths and focus on emerging sectors.
