Chennai, Sept. 18 -- Amid uncertain future with the company deciding to shut down its Chennai facility, Ford India workers has re-commenced the production of EcoSport model to meet the export commitments.

The company has an export commitment of about 30,000 cars to be delivered by the end of this year.

According to trade union office-bearers, production at the Chennai plant is on as per schedule. However, the per day count of roll out of cars will differ as it depends on the production schedule," they said.
