Nashik, Aug. 20 -- With heavy rains pouring down throughout the night in Nashik city and rural areas, the water level in the major dams of the district has increased significantly, and discharge has been started from Gangapur and other dams today.
2,557 cusecs of water has been released from Gangapur Dam, and since this discharge will be increased in stages, the water level of the Godavari river will increase further.
