Chennai, May 7 -- Amid fluid political scenario in the wake of hung Assembly and the Governor declining to invite TVK Founder Vijay to form the next government citing lack of numbers to prove its majority, the newly elected MLAs of the DMK, while asserting that Tamil Nadu was not ready for another elections and to stall communal forces from cashing in on the situation, has authorised party president and outgoing Chief Minister M K Stalin to take necessary steps to ensure that a stable government is in place, while condemning the Congress for ditching the alliance and aligning with the TVK.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the meeting of the newly elected MLAs chaired by Mr Stalin on Thursday evening.
