Chennai, Aug. 14 -- Amid growing differences between the ruling DMK and the
Raj Bhavan over a host of issues, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin will skip
the customary "At Home" reception (tea party) organised by Governor R N Ravi
tomorrow to mark the Independence Day celebrations.
An official release cited the Governor's action in delaying assent to various Bills
and referring the one pertaining to set up a University in the name of former CM
M Karunanidhi at Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district, which the Raj Bhavan had
forwarded to President.
