Madurai (Tamil Nadu), March 1 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy temple atop the Tiruparankundram hills in this Temple town which had recently drew the attention of the entire country over the Karthigai Deepam lighting row, leading to tensions between the BJP, various Hindu outfits and the ruling DMK in the State, which had denied the nod for lighting the deepam despite court orders citing law and order problems and to ensure public tranquility and peace.
