Amanda Anisimova kicked off the American charge with a hard-fought 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 win over Hungary's Dalma Galfi on Court 12. The 13th seed admitted it wasn't her best performance, but her grit made the difference. "I wasn't at the level I can be at. I need to hit more practice before the next one," she told reporters.
