New Delhi, July 17 -- In a liberalized trade move, AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) announced that it will start shipments of 'M1308' artificial intelligence (AI) chips to China. The 'M1308' chips are the electronic components used for the processing of large data volumes for managing the AI workloads efficiently. AMD also pointed out that the US Department of Commerce is currently reviewing the applications for trade resumption submitted by AMD.
This came days after the announcement on trade resumption made by Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang about resuming sales of its H20 AI chips in China.
