Colombo, Oct. 5 -- Pakistan Women won the toss and elected to field first against India Women in the sixth match of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 at the RPremadasa Stadium here today, even as India suffered a setback with allrounder Amanjot Kaur ruled out due to illness.
She has been replaced by pacer Renuka Singh Thakur.
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana said her team opted to bowl first anticipating some early movement on the surface.
"We're going to bowl first, looks like there could be some moisture on the wicket. One change for us - Sadaf Shamas replaces Omaima Sohail. Our confidence is great, hopefully we'll play better today. Anything under 250 could be a good chase," she said.
