Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, March 29 -- Non-conventional Energy Minister Atul Save on Saturday appealed to the citizens to use alternative energy sources. He said, "Most of the country's energy generation is spent on coal and petroleum fuels. Since these fuels have to be imported, a large part of the country's foreign exchange reserves has to be spent. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policy is to promote the use of solar energy and other non-conventional energy options to achieve this saving. Alternative energy sources should be promoted." He was speaking on the occasion of an electric vehicle rally, organized jointly by Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) and Energy Efficiency Bureau (EEB).
